Shuttle Info

The Shuttle Info tab provides important information about your child's transportation service, including driver details, vehicle information, and pickup times. This guide explains what information is available and how to use it.

Accessing Shuttle Info

  1. Go to the Services tab
  2. Tap on any service/route
  3. Tap the Shuttle Info tab (second tab)

Information Available

The Shuttle Info screen displays key details about your service:

Information Description
School/Company The destination school or company name
Route Name The name/identifier of the route
Vehicle Plate The license plate number of the vehicle
Driver Name The assigned driver's name
Estimated Pickup Expected pickup time (when available)

School/Company Name

This shows the destination:

  • For morning routes: The school where your child will be dropped off
  • For afternoon routes: The school from which your child is picked up

This helps you verify you're looking at the correct service, especially if your child attends multiple locations or you have multiple children.

Route Name

The route identifier helps you:

  • Distinguish between different routes
  • Reference the correct route when contacting support
  • Know which service you're tracking

Vehicle Plate Number

The license plate of the assigned vehicle:

  • Helps you identify the correct bus at the stop
  • Useful for verification purposes
  • May change if a substitute vehicle is used

Tip: Make note of the plate number so you can identify the correct vehicle when it arrives.

Driver Information

Driver Name

Shows who is driving the route:

  • The primary driver assigned to your route
  • May show backup drivers when applicable

Driver Phone

A button to call the driver directly:

  1. Look for the "Call Driver" button
  2. Tap to initiate a phone call
  3. The phone app opens with the driver's number

When to Call the Driver

  • Your child isn't at the stop but the bus is arriving
  • You need to communicate a delay
  • There's an urgent issue affecting pickup
  • To confirm arrival during unusual situations

Note: Only contact drivers for urgent transportation matters. For general questions, contact your transportation provider.

Estimated Pickup Time

When available, this shows:

  • The expected time the bus will reach your stop
  • Format: Date and time
  • Based on route scheduling

Understanding Pickup Estimates

Estimates are:

  • Set by your transportation provider
  • Based on typical route timing
  • May vary due to traffic or delays

Calling the Driver

To call the driver from the app:

  1. Open your service and go to Shuttle Info
  2. Find the Call Driver section
  3. Tap the phone button or number
  4. Your phone's dialer opens with the number
  5. Tap call to connect

Call Button Details

The call button shows:

  • Icon: Phone icon
  • Label: "CALL DRIVER" or similar
  • Phone Number: The driver's contact number (formatted for readability)

Support Contact

If your school/company provides support contact:

  • A separate "Call Support" button may appear
  • This connects to your transportation provider
  • Use for non-urgent questions or issues

Information Card Layout

The Shuttle Info screen presents information in an easy-to-read card format:

Information Updates

The information shown:

  • Comes from your transportation provider's system
  • Updates when changes are made in the admin system
  • Reflects the latest assigned driver and vehicle

If information seems incorrect, contact your transportation provider.

Best Practices

Before the First Day

  • Review the Shuttle Info for each service
  • Note the driver's name and vehicle plate
  • Save the driver's number in your contacts (optional)

Daily Verification

  • Check that the correct vehicle plate matches what arrives
  • Verify driver identity if needed
  • Note any substitute drivers

When Information is Missing

  • Some fields may not be available for all routes
  • Contact your provider if critical information is missing
  • The app shows what's available in the system

Troubleshooting

"No driver information shown"

  • The route may not have a driver assigned yet
  • Contact your transportation provider for updates

"Phone number not working"

  • Verify the number is complete
  • Check for correct country code
  • The number may have been entered incorrectly in the system

"Wrong information displayed"

  • Data comes from your provider's system
  • Report discrepancies to your transportation provider
  • Updates will appear in the app once corrected
