Personnel Tracking

Track your company shuttle in real-time using the live map feature. This guide explains how to monitor your shuttle's location as it approaches your stop.

Accessing Live Tracking

  1. Go to the Services tab
  2. Tap on an active shuttle service
  3. You'll see the tracking screen with two tabs:
    • Map - Live tracking view
    • Shuttle Info - Driver and vehicle details

Map Tab Overview

When the service is active, the Map tab shows:

  • An interactive map of your area
  • The current shuttle location (when running)
  • Your pickup/drop-off stop location
  • The company/workplace location
  • Traffic information overlay

Map Markers

The map uses different markers to show key locations:

Marker Description
Green Marker Your pickup or drop-off stop
Building/Company Marker The workplace/company location
Vehicle Marker Current shuttle position

Your Stop Marker

Shows where you should be:

  • For pickup services: Where the shuttle will collect you
  • For drop-off services: Where the shuttle will drop you off
  • Based on your assigned stop or home address

Company Marker

Shows your workplace:

  • Destination for morning services
  • Starting point for evening services

Shuttle Marker

The vehicle marker:

  • Shows real-time position
  • Updates automatically every few seconds
  • Moves along the route as the shuttle travels

When Tracking is Active

You can track when:

  • The service status shows as Active
  • The driver has started the route
  • The route is in progress

Status Types for Personnel Services

Status Meaning Can Track?
Going to Work Pickup route in progress Yes
Left Company Drop-off route in progress Yes
Inactive Route not running No
Completed Route finished No

Auto-Follow Feature

The map can automatically keep the shuttle centered:

Enabling Auto-Follow

  1. Look for the tracking button (bottom-left of map)
  2. Tap "Enable Automated Follow"
  3. The map will center on the shuttle automatically

When Auto-Follow is Active

  • Map continuously centers on the shuttle
  • Icon shows as "GPS Fixed"
  • Text shows "Automated Follow Active"

Disabling Auto-Follow

  • Simply drag the map to look elsewhere
  • Auto-follow turns off automatically
  • Tap the button again to re-enable

Location Time Indicator

A timestamp may appear showing:

  • "Last Location: [time]" - When position was last received

Indicator Colors

Color Meaning
Blue Location is fresh and reliable
Orange Location may be outdated (2+ minutes)

Why Location Might Be Delayed

  • Vehicle in area with poor GPS/cellular signal
  • Temporary connection issues
  • Signal will restore when conditions improve

When Service is Inactive

If the Map tab shows "Service is not active":

  • The route hasn't started yet
  • Pull down to refresh and check status
  • Wait for the scheduled service time

This is normal when:

  • It's not your shuttle time yet
  • The driver hasn't started the route
  • The service was already completed

Map Controls

Zooming

  • Pinch outward - Zoom in for detail
  • Pinch inward - Zoom out for wider view

Panning

  • Drag - Move the map around
  • Note: Disables auto-follow if enabled

Traffic View

  • Traffic is shown automatically
  • Colors indicate congestion levels
  • Helps understand potential delays

Pull to Refresh

To manually update:

  1. Pull down on the screen
  2. Wait for refresh to complete
  3. Location and status update

The map also auto-refreshes every 5-10 seconds.

Shuttle Info Tab

Alongside the map, the Shuttle Info tab shows:

Information Description
Company Your workplace name
Service Name The route identifier
Vehicle Plate The shuttle's license plate
Driver The assigned driver's name
Estimated Time Expected pickup time (if available)

Contacting the Driver

From Shuttle Info:

  1. Find the Call Driver section
  2. Tap the phone button
  3. Your phone dialer opens
  4. Complete the call

Use this for urgent transportation matters only.

Tips for Effective Tracking

Timing

  • Check the app 10-15 minutes before expected pickup
  • Position updates in real-time
  • Account for traffic variations

At Your Stop

  • Be at your stop before the shuttle arrives
  • Have the app open to see when it's close
  • Use notifications to alert you

For Shift Workers

  • Check your services after shift changes
  • Verify you're tracking the correct service
  • Note any time or route changes

Understanding Route Progress

Pickup (Morning) Flow

  1. Driver starts the route
  2. Shuttle begins collecting employees
  3. Approaches your stop
  4. You board
  5. Continues to remaining stops
  6. Arrives at company

Drop-off (Evening) Flow

  1. Driver starts from company
  2. Employees board at company
  3. Shuttle heads toward stops
  4. Approaches your stop
  5. You exit
  6. Continues to remaining stops

Troubleshooting

"Shuttle not showing on map"

  • Verify the service is Active
  • Confirm tracking has started
  • Wait for data to load
  • Pull down to refresh

"Map not loading"

  • Check your internet connection
  • Close and reopen the app
  • Ensure good signal

"Location appears frozen"

  • GPS signal may be temporarily lost
  • Check the location time indicator
  • Wait for signal to restore

"Wrong stop location shown"

  • Your assigned stop comes from your employer
  • Contact HR if the stop is incorrect
  • Changes must be made in the admin system
